Stuart S. Golding Company was founded by Stuart S. Golding, a leading shopping center developer in Florida and Massachusetts.  Loren Pollack joined the company in 1964.  When the company was acquired by U.S. Home Corporation in 1971, it became known as U.S.H. Properties Corporation and served as the commercial division for the company.

In 1975, Mr. Golding and Mr. Pollack left to re-form the Stuart S. Golding Company as co-owners of the family business.  Together, they masterminded the evolution of shopping developments in the Tampa Bay and surrounding areas.  Additionally, they were instrumentally involved in the restoration and redevelopment of the historic Willard Hotel in Washington, DC.

In 1989, David Scher joined Stuart S. Golding Company as co-owner of the family business after Mr. Golding’s passing.  The Company has since developed more than 4,000,000 square feet.  These projects have included national grocery anchored neighborhood centers, enclosed two-level malls, medical and professional office space, and retail storage centers.

In 2011, SSG Management LLC was created to focus solely on the property management, leasing, and development of the sites, while Stuart S. Golding Company continued to focus on ownership of and investment of sites.

David Scher became sole owner and President of SSG Management, LLC after Mr. Pollack’s passing.  In 2018, Jarrod Bray and Jennifer Scher joined SSG Management LLC as Vice-Presidents of the family business. In 2020, SSG Management LLC changed its name to SSG Commercial LLC and introduced its new logo. Mr. Scher, Mr. Bray, and Ms. Scher currently serve as the Officers of SSG Commercial LLC.
